The Kaya Mawa team welcomes three new staff members.
It has been an exciting start for all with a busy peak season and as Malawi enters the summer months, Green Safaris’ Kaya Mawa isn’t slowing down. The camp has recently been joined by three new team members.
Alexandra and Oliver Waite have been welcomed as the new Camp Managers and bring experience, enthusiasm and smiles to Kaya Mawa. They are passionate about guest experience and have infectious sparkle, which carries throughout the lodge and beyond into the Likoma Island communities. They are building partnerships, supportive relationships and most importantly, good friendships, in these neighbouring communities.
Ruth Phiri has also recently joined the team at Kaya Mawa as Spa Manager. With years of experience behind her, Ruth eases away aches and pains from travel-weary bodies and creates the ultimate relaxation experience in her island spa surrounded by the lapping waves of Lake Malawi.
In other news, local festivities are in full swing with traditional Malipenga dances most weekends and the gentle sound of Malawian drums and instruments are crossing the island, whispering the stories of countless generations. More about these from Kaya Mawa next month…
