Robin Pope Safaris believes that investing in education in the local community is one of the best contributions one can make.
Robin Pope Safaris Pumulani have received many generous donations from their guests, enabling the team to go out and deliver stationery, note books and stickers to many grateful children and teachers at Nankhwali Primary and Secondary School.
Standard 7 children were the first to receive, with each of them getting a pencil case equipped with pens, pencils, erasers and protractors, as well as a note book for their studies. In addition, they were also able to give each child in standards 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 a pencil, eraser and colouring pencils. The stickers were saved for the youngest members of the school, standard 1. The smiling faces in the pictures show how happy the children were to receive these gifts.
Teachers were not left out and also received coloured paper for their class and other resources to help them in their role.
Secondary education in Malawi is not free (unlike primary education), so many pupils cannot afford to attend Secondary School. In order to lend a helping hand to its local community, Pumulani sponsors students every year to attend Nankhwali CDSS (Community Day Secondary School), who otherwise would not be able to afford to go. Currently there are 6 sponsored students attending the school who each also received a note book and pencil case equipped with everything they need to make their studies easier. Two students will be writing their Malawi School Certificate Examination (MSCE) this year and the Robin Pope Safaris team would like to wish them every success for their studies and future endeavours.
Robin Pope Safaris would like to thank everyone who has considered these children and has generously donated to their community projects.
