Exciting new refurbishments are under way at Mvuu Camp & Lodge promising some great new additions.
Earlier this year, Central African Wilderness Safaris (CAWS) began refurbishing two of its key properties, Mvuu Camp and Mvuu Lodge. The revamped properties along with their added amenities, will further enhance CAWS’ overall offering, and enable guests to enjoy greater comfort and an enhanced experience in the heart of Liwonde National Park, Malawi’s premier wildlife destination.
The lounge area at Mvuu Lodge has been extended, and features a brand-new viewing deck. The interesting new setting offers guests the opportunity to enjoy spectacular views of the tranquil lagoon flowing into the Shire River. A dreamy new addition to the camp is the new Star Bed, set out on the southern floodplains, in the great outdoors. A sleep out there will allow a unique “back to nature” experience which won’t be forgotten.
The J&B chalets near the camp have had a complete make over, boasting new décor, renovated bathrooms, a new dining area and comfortable lounge area. The new décor was designed to tell the story of the chalets and how they have served as a base for guides, officials and conservationists who were involved in the black rhino conservation project in Liwonde. These refurbished chalets will be the ideal spot for small groups and families who want a totally private and exclusive experience at Mvuu Camp.
Two new Land Rovers have also been purchased by CAWS, which will be used to take Mvuu Camp and Mvuu Lodge guests on the day and night game drives that are a must-do during any stay at Mvuu.
